It feels good to finally finish something larger than just a painting. I guess with those, I can finish them and reflect on them soon after whereas with a project, it takes some time to get to that point. Short comic is short anyway. I had written this in summer 2008 and just started working on the pages last year. The next comic I do(I hope) will be twice as long.Props to for his input. Also my buddies over at goborobo.com

I tried to make a comic over the summer and I only got to two pages, actually only finished the first page and posted it... This makes me want to try it again. I had trouble trying to lay my thoughts out in comic panel form though.

WOW, this was awesome, great concept, the fighting scenes are great very dynamic and simply the catch the reading sequence, great anatomy too, i just now want to see more of this

The main character seems to have a problem learning from his mistakes. First he takes his first life for granted and becomes immortal, then possibly kills the only potential companion he has, and finally attempts a suicide by the same method that failed before. It really is too bad he can't kill himself.
I kinda see patterns of people doing this in their own lives (not the whole immortal part) but doing the same kind of shit that gets them no where without pushing for any type of rhyme or reason. They just whine with their cheese and fail to appreciate what they got, and it really is a sad state of mind to be in. Although Probizlifecoach sees the topic of the comic depressing, maybe he'll appreciate it more if he can step back and see the bigger picture; the story & art came from your mind & heart, and the entirety of the comic itself expresses a piece of who you are while not defining you as a whole. If that process of expression is not inspiring, I don't know what the hell is.
Seeing this finished makes me really want to do mine... there are too many things I'm intimidated of though! Style continuity, frame-pacing, backgrounds (the style you went with for yours is genius btw!!!!) and story-telling!! It's all too much!!.... now I sound like the main character. Time to change shit up! Thanks for sharing, homie!

Yes! You got what I was trying to convey on point! The main character is stuck in an extreme version of what could really happen. Of course in real life, we have more control to change things depending on our state of mind.
We will have to talk on skype again soon. The last time gave me the momentum I needed to continue and I hope I can do the same for you. You should do a short comic about that last paragraph haha!

Seems to me that in most of the stories I've read about immortality, those that have it eventually wish that they didn't. A lot of what makes us human involves the fact that we don't exist here as we are forever.
Even though the comic was short, it must have been a lot of work.

This all came from my head starting with "suicide and immortality" as the concept.
That character(friend) is actually imaginary but its also suppose to be a younger version of himself. I failed to make that more clear. Thanks for your comments!

Yeah, like Cain was cursed with a mark, and forced to roam the earth for all eternity until the end of days or something. My bible studying is almost nonexistent, I just remember the story.

I'm not exactly 100% sure what's going on. I have a pretty good idea. And if I do, he really shouldn't be kicking his imaginary friends off of cliffs. Especially if there is no one else to talk to. Even if your imaginary friends are annoying. :[
I love all the expressions though. I get a real sense of... Hopelessness? But it seems to draw you in, nonetheless. Very good. :]

Would like to see what other twist, turns and life challenges he has and how he handles and works thru them in a positive way. Seems like his situation is too final before he discovers the true purpose for his life. How can you create something that we all can feel good about winning in the game of life with all of it's challenges! We all need to be inspired with hope. Can you as a Digital Artist inspire HOPE?

Thats how life is sometimes though. The choices one makes, whether by his own mind or by the influences around him, can put them in an undesired situation. What a person wants today could possibly change in the future. I dont feel stories always need a positive outcome to get a point across. Much like the previous comic I did about bullies, I feel its better if the decision is left to the reader.

Yeah its a classic but you might like "I am Legend" more, if you havent already seen it. Its basically a remake but without the same title. WIll Smith, good stuff.
