Just don't try and get any of these to Romulus or Vulcan now.Β JJ blew them both up.Β Β THAT, IMHO, was stupid right along with the childish-got more money than sense-attitude abusing us with ridiculous lens flares and interior architecture more fitting for the Titanics era.Β Enough.Β Blah.Β Humbug.

i love this version. I had a friend do similar with the NX01 and replace the nacelles with JJ nacelles, i liked it, it came out well. He was also going to do same for me with Enterprise's D, E and also Voyager, keeping same shape and layout of the ships but just replacing the nacelles, Β but he let me down at the last minute and didnt do it. Dont suppose you could do it could you, or know anyone else who could?

Hm, good conversion job, but as with all ships following that design...
Good God, is that UGLY!

Actually apart from a little post 60s nostalgia value I don't think the Constitution class is a particularly sweet design either. The progressions from it also are just stupid, keeping the same shape across two centuries just make it look as though the designers that work on the ships have little to no imagination or as is more likely little or no input as to the shape of the craft that goes to production. At least in First Contact there was some much needed design variation displayed during the opening battle sequence. Voyager I've always thought was pig ugly and those tilt engines just too gimmicky. I think from all the shows ships theres only two designs that I really liked from first viewing thats Reliant and the Akira.

Fair enough.
I remember that the warp nacelles in TOS emitted a form of radiation, which is why they had to be far away from the rest of the ship.
Which makes designs like the Defiant stupid in my book.
For TNG however, they decided that the FTL speed was done with something called a warp field, and the position and distance of the nacelles was necessary for forming that field. Bull. Shit.
Always liked Voyager, but yeah, the tilt engines are useless. And too short for my taste.
Reliant was a new idea, and looked good. And the Akira was basically Reliant with Sovereign parts instead of Starship.
No, I won't call it Constitution class, because that's just incorrect. Was called Starship Class from the beginning. Until some idiot in the 70's wrote something about Trek and mixed up everything. Let's not go there.

Some day I will be half as good as this man. Then by that time he'll be twice as good as he is now, leaving me even further behind. Oh how I envy his modeling abilities.
