Chakat Darkepaw in hir bedroom aboard a starship - looking thoughtfully out at the vastness of space...This was the first commission that I used an airbrush for some of the effects. (the spacescape outside the window, and also the glow of the lightband that goes around the ceiling).
I also had fun designing a simple but futuristic room, which includes a computer system built into the wall - with a cardkey activation for basic controls, and a keyboard that folds out from the wall (the rectangle you see below the monitor). The 2 plushies on the taur bed are a lion and a white chakat and they represent 2 of Darkepaw's mates. Its also good to see they still have books in the future.

maybe Chakona? judging by the amount of very large windows for the rooms i think shi is on a cruise liner and not a military starship

I don't see the utility of such a large window on a starship. It could be easily punctured by micro-meteors, and would do nothing to stop cosmic radiation.

most starships only have small windows due the things you said and the fact that they are structural weak points in starship armor , i think shi is on a cruise liner on hir way to maybe Terra, Chakona or another Federation planet.

Oh crude I cant remember the name off those Star Trek stories based around Chakats. There very good and im so sad I havent been able to find them. The site had a long list of different stories.

i have stumbled across this by accident. and im glad i did.
the isolation this character is feeling is illustrated well. the paw touch on glass is a beautiful indication of a search for something real. the distractions in and around character are just. the half crossed arm is a good indication of characters unease of their suroundings.
the mediam you have used is a nice touch... gives it a real organic feel. the haisy look really gives it that... 'it could be a dream' erm thing...
if i had any authority.. i'd give this a 9/10..

This one reminds me of how I find myself at times.
Far away from home, away from friends and family. Basically alone. Surrounded by distractions and entertainment, I wander off to where there's a view and get that '100 yard stare'.
Good job capturing that in Darkepaw's expression and hir body language.
I just hope I never get the dreaded '1000 yard stare'. That one tends to be a bad sign.

At first, I thought she was looking at her nails, then when I read it, I found out she was looking out into the vastness of space. It's an amazing angle, and as usual, it's amazing peice of artowrk! I enjoy you more an more I look at your artwork!

Well, next I am going to be inking a commission, and sketching up another - and then sketching up the last piece for the Furry Weekend Atlanta art show this coming weekend - so the art show piece will most likely be the next one I post here

fuku = Japanese schoolgirl uniform
a common one is a sailor-fuku, this one I'm working on is more catholic schoolgirl looking - with a blazer instead of a sailor style top, still with the pleated skirt, and also knee socks.
Furry Weekend Atlanta is a convention in Atlanta that I'm attending for the first time...
And thank you for your offer of ideas, but I have plenty of ideas myself - in addition to the commissions that I do..
