Description
The Luminary is an organization mentioned several times in the IMPRESSIONS OF THE WANING VOID 's narrative.
The Luminary is powerful multiversal organization that occupies a colossal megastructure known as the Nexus. This Nexus exists within a specially constructed pocket universe of its own creation. Within this confined universe, the Nexus operates as a panopticon, overseeing countless universes and realities that exist beyond, while also functioning as a supercomputer. It harnesses the immense power of numerous realities and universes to perform unimaginably complex calculations, all the while providing the Luminary with seemingly boundless storage capacity for archiving data. The true nature of the Nexus is too abstract to be accurately described, but it is believed to be a construct existing in higher dimensions. What remains consistent, however, are the numerous celestial bodies orbiting the central megastructure, referred to as the "Perfect Worlds." These are remarkably large terrestrial planets with diverse compositions, exhibiting remarkable stability in every aspect. These worlds are devoid of natural catastrophes, as if they have been purposefully engineered for perfection.
At the core of the Nexus resides a planetary mass known to the Luminary as Genesis. It consists primarily of water and inert gases, with hardly any landmass apart from scattered artificial islands adrift on its surface. To provide perspective, Genesis is so immense that its radius would extend all the way to Saturn's orbit. The water on Genesis possesses extraordinary properties that are unique, setting it apart from any water found anywhere in the multiverse. However, all of this pales in comparison to what lies within the seemingly endless depths of Genesis. At the core of this planet lies a closely guarded secret of the Luminary, a sentient construct believed to be responsible for upholding the integrity of the pocket universe. Without it, both the Nexus and the pocket universe itself would collapse.
Despite these bewildering anomalies, the gravitational force on these worlds, including Genesis, is surprisingly moderate, making them suitable for habitation. The origins of the Nexus and the identity of its creators remain a mystery even to the Luminary. They stumbled upon this extraordinary structure by chance and found it abandoned, subsequently claiming it as their own. Despite the Luminary's technological prowess, there are still many aspects of the Nexus that elude their understanding and remain beyond their grasp.
