Originally started this as a tribute to my childhood return of Star Wars to the big screen, but as so many of my projects do, it stagnated under other responsibilities. But I recently played Star Wars Episode 1 Racer (N64!) again, and that made me want to finish it. Gasgano has always been my favourite podracer, so the competition between him and the only racer to finish ahead of him (Skywalker) in the Boonta Eve Classic is the focus of this illustration.I'm obsessive over Star Wars canon, and did my best to show accurate second-lap standings, with Anakin working his way up between Ebe Endocott and Gasgano. Hopefully I didn't get it wrong!

Yeah, I always thought it said a lot about his racing ability that he finished second without playing as dirty a game as some of the others.
