However, scientists have informed the world that there is a serious threat from an asteroid capable of annihilating the entire planet and it will occur soon. Your task is to design a ship (the Ark) which will enable mankind to escape and find another homeworld."...

personally i think you should A, either keep it for use in the atmosphere or B, when the meteor comes close enough blast it to bits with the broadside guns
