I found the second one to be more entertaining than the first, largely because I hadn't played them until...a few months ago when they went on sale on Steam. The stylistic choices and narrative are great, but I found the gameplay of the first to fall short. The second felt more refined.

The Max Payne games are little discs of pure adrenaline. 2 of the greatest games ever. Nice bit of art, with or without the Payne reference
