I've been meaning to ask this for a while. The smudges of white seem to reappear in a lot of your work... why is that? Why is it a part of your process? It just intrigues me.

The white smudges are the witnesses of the crazy erasing that is going on on my drawings. I do erase a lot. Not to clean, but to draw. This is why the drawings are so dirty. I like this paper, because it is really thick. It allows a lot of erasing, and it reacts to it.
I hope I got the question right. Thanks for asking, because it made me realize some stuff.

It really does explain it a lot, thank you. I don't think the drawings would be the same without those marks... it just adds something quite special. Curious to know the exact brand of paper?
