Every time I look at this pic the thing that strikes me the most is the expression on Thranduil's face. I don't know how to describe it but somehow I'm just so... mesmerised and intrigued by it that I find myself coming back to this, sometimes several times a day. I'm trying to figure out what exactly that expression is and I just can't find the words for it for the life of me.
I really love this drawing and also the symbolism behind it (or whatever symbolism I read into it, anyway). It's just become the background on my computer, I hope that's alright
