Description
All his life Guy dreamt about being a hero. Strong, bold, intelligent, swashbuckling. Sadly, Guy was none of those things. Also, a hero needed a sword, and he could certainly not afford one. So all that was left for him was to stroll through the forest every now and then with a stick, fighting tufts of grass, hanging branches and rocks. The latter being particularly resilient opponents. One day, however, Guy stumbled upon a clearing. In the middle of this clearing lay a rock with a sword embedded into it.
"Oh! A sword in a stone! Just like the legends!" Guy thought, "It's said the chosen one will pull the sword from the stone. I wonder if I should try?"
Truth be told, the sword didn't look exactly like one might imagine a holy blade. Also, it was strange that nobody had found this place before. But these thoughts didn't cross Guy's mind. As said before, he was not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed.
Guy grabbed the sword and pulled, and pulled, and eventually managed to dislodge the sword from the stone. In doing so, he lost his balance and fell onto his back. Truth be told, he never expected it to work. But when he saw the sword laying beside him he rejoiced.
"I did it! I'm the chosen one!"
He grabbed the sword but quickly realized that it was way too heavy for him to lift.
"How is it so heavy?" he wondered, "I can't be that weak?"
#THOU CANST NOT LIFT THE SWORD, FOOLISH MORTAL! THOU HAST NOT SEALETH THE PACT!#
Frightened, Guy looked around. The voice seemed to come from everywhere around him. Or maybe it was within his head?
"Who said that?" he asked, "Where are you?"
#I AM RIGHT IN FRONT OF THINE EYES! LOOK UPON ME!#
The sword seemed to vibrate. Guy looked at it, startled. A red eye with slitted pupil appeared on the sword's guard.
#HELLO !#
Guy's scream reached as far as the forest's edge.
----------
A while ago I had an idea for a game. I name it "Guy and the Sword". The sword is, in fact, the demon Ananthakamagogooa, banned into the form of a sword. Guy finds it, but the sword is more than he can handle. While he just wants to be a hero, the demon wants to be whole again. However, being a sword, he can't do anything unless someone wields him.
I don't know if I'll ever be able to make this game, but I figured I can at least model the sword.
