Konan seeks the past, and repentance for her helplessness causing Yahiko's death. She feels as though she killed him, and everything is her fault. This is displayed in her care for Nagato, her only remaining friend. She sees his despair and anger, and feels as though she is the one who made him suffer. She follows him without resistance, because Nagato is the only one who can continue their teammate's dream- but she doesn't recognize when that dream turned into something else entirely.

She wishes she could fix things, make things as they were before. She misses the old Nagato, and Yahiko as well. She is forever trapped, chasing after a dream that would never be. Here she is, reaching out to Yahiko and what he stood for, being supported by the people of Amegakure. But she still cannot reach him.
