I took the barrier to be metal, and it takes a bit of show Otaku and chemist to realise that it's probably sensible to treat metal as an extension of earth.

Nice image; however, I was never a big fan of Korra as a series itself. Even though it stated that it was a new image to Avatar it destroyed many of the things that made Aang special.

Well you know of essentially cooking up some bizarre reasoning of how Amon could take away people's bending with blood bending when Aang was the only person who knew how to do that or having Vatu come up so early that it essentially makes a huge peak for another villain to try and surpass.

One hopes it will be good. Vatu may have been a big bad....but her was an uninteresting one. Amon was a real threat ended prematurely. I think even they knew that....but they didn't know if they were continuing

Well if I was the writers and I knew Korra was going on for much longer then the first season. I would have put the Red Lotus after Amon and have it hint towards Vatu as being the climatic finale.
