In the original Hebrew text, YHWH the Tetragrammaton was written without the correct vowels. It was believed at the time that the name of their god should never be written down. As a result, whenever the "name" appeared in the original text, it was written with the "added" vowels of "adonai" which translates to "lord". (I say "added" because ancient Hebrew was written without vowels, which were introduced "into" and "around" the words after the rise of its written form.) When early Germanic people tried to translate the original text, they mistook "YaHoWaiH" which is pronounced in early Germanic as "Jehovah", as the name itself, without knowing about the "substitution".
The true vowels that should be used, and the original pronunciation have been lost to time.
I took a religious studies college course.
And the whole Jehovah spelled with an I from Indiana Jones Last Crusade, totally made up.

J does not exist as a letter or phonetic sound in Hebrew. J is Germanic. Please do not be offended. But check this. Jehovah, Iehovah, Jove, all translate to one thing and one thing only, and that is Jupiter.
Just as Jesus, Iesous, is Zeus.
They are false.
The name we are given to call the Father is YAHWEH.
Also we are foretold of HIS Son, and our Messiah in HIS NAME, in Exodus. YHWH, Yod Heh Waw Heh, means 'Behold the Hand, Behold the Nail.' So we see that YAHWEH is revealing to us the Messiah. Yahshua, HIS Son. HIS Only Begotten Son. This is not to say Yahshua is YAHWEH. Yahshua is the Son, and agrees with YAHWEH in all things.
Yahshua in English translates to Joshua. Yahshua means 'YAHWEH is Salvation.' Jesus does not. Also, Jehovah does not translate in Jesus to say Jehovah is salvation. Because Jehovah is a false god, just as Jesus is a counterfeit messiah.

I find it sad that so many people don't know God's real name.

Yes.
This will tell you more.
But Jesus told us to call Him 'Abba', Father. He told us that when we pray to Him, call Him Father.
While we can use 'the name' it should be used with reverence. But remember, if you ask of the Father, we are to ask in Jesus' name.

Ummmmm...
I was always told that it was too sacred to acctually pronounce...
...But it's sounds like a breath, so that the first thing that you do to live is say 'God'.
& It's the last thing that you will say before you die.
(???)

Christians don't bandy it about. If you are to speak God's name YAHWEH, it must be treated with reverence. Jews don't speak it at all, instead use Lord, or One Most High.
This is really an interesting comment: "sounds like a breath..", yes, it does, and it His breath that was breathed into us. Very good comment!

Not only is this God's real name, as shown in the ancient records, The Dead Sea Scrolls, but have you noticed something else?
There's only one Christian religion/ Bible that has KEPT his name in it. All the other religions have cut it out and replaced it with LORD or GOD or FATHER or some other title. Do you know what that religion is?

It is in other Bibles, "I AM" is in all Bibles. Christians treat 'the Name' YAHWEH with respect. AND they treat Jesus with respect and don't deny His devinity. Christian Bible's have not corrupted John.1:1, by adding a word which does this, the article added to John.1:1 in Jehovah Witness translations is incorrect translation.

Indeed. It is good to hear that. Many people would have never gotten that question.
I feel like this earth needs more acceptance towards religion... yet at the same time I feel like we need rid of it.
