Working subtitle: "I was a dad once".So, that bit at the end of The Eleventh Hour when little Amelia heard the TARDIS and looked up and then we never found out what happened?

(Explanation is here , in fanfic form. But I still want to see them travel together and have awesome adventures that she can't tell him about when she meets him again twelve years later. XD)

Not exactly; I looked at reference pictures with his eyes open, to make sure I wasn't getting his eyebrows wrong. But now that I look back at it, it reminds me of when he closed his eyes during their hug in The Beast Below, so that scene was probably influential, at least subconsciously. Which, you know, I mind not at all. ^___^

This is so sad and sweet all at once, and it did make me think of the scene in "The Big Bang"! Your subtitle makes it even more poignant, but I was already getting the sweet parental vibe from how Eleven is carrying little Amelia. I love this piece.

I have notice how much of a father figure he is to Both Amelia and Amy. How he gently comforts her with a touch. It's sweet for once not to have Love tension.
