Description
Winter's first snow envelops the earth,
It's virgin purity, a promise of rebirth,
Trees heavily laden with winter's embrace,
A time for reflection, beneath the surface.
As we reside in Winter's cold keep,
What we have sown, we have yet to reap,
A time to withdraw from the madding crowd,
A time to rest and deliberate under Winter's shroud.
Through forgiveness, renewal and inner healing,
Winter starts a journey seeking new meaning.

When Winter finally merges into Spring,
Then we realize the many gifts that Winter brings,
Providing the opportunity for self-discovery,
A period of solitude and quiet recovery.
Connecting with the soul deep within,
Listening to the hopes that lie therein.
Through inner connection, becoming whole,
Remaining on the path that leads to soul's goal.

Oh yes, Winter's first snow embraces the earth,
Cleansing and pure, a promise of rebirth.
