That's fantastic... I have been searching the net trying to find something even remotely similar... There isn't much! Very well done! I think there might be a market for that sort of thing. You will have to make a "how to" vid.

Thanks, you can find picture of this plaque in my gallery. But - I can't duplicate and sell it, because it will be copyright infringement. I created this piece only for my own purposes and pleasure. It's not my original work.

Interesting art on the wall... I have been looking at the cintiq for a while. I was debating on the new 24hd touch, but decided against it. It would be great work directly on the work, up until now I have been using the wacom intuos 5. I have gotten very comfortable using the wheel on the side so when I told a friend I was thinking of getting the cintiq touch he said sooo you use the touch alot on the intuos 5? ....actually no...not much.

You didn't like the Cintiq? Where is this review? I also like all the books you have up there, I assume most are reference books?

Wow! Thanks for the book list, I have become interesting in concept art and animation and this is awesome to see so many good books, I might have to check some of them out.
Can't the pen/cursor distance be muffled by calibrating it? It probably wouldn't make it perfect but did you try it out? The lag thing might not be all the cintiq's fault. It could be a large resolution or maybe you need more ram. I have your PC picture here but I can't really see what the ram sticks say. What kind of ram is it?

You're welcome - do you know Parka's blog - [link] ? Great guy who makes reviews for many books, for concept art and concept design too. He makes a videos as "quick tour", photos and reviews with links to sites where you can buy books.
Calibration of cintiq is very easy - you must click by pen on marker in each corner of tablet. Thats all. I did this calibration many times, but it's only for definiton of workspace on screen. I mean, that lag is a problem of Cintiq, because if you read technical specification, you can discover that Intuos have 200 pixels/second stream, but Cintiq only 133 pixels/second stream. This paramaterer is called "Report rate" and I think that is it. Work with Cintiq is a little "rubberish". So, I tried another Cintiq 24HD Touch during our Graphics Con, with the same result - lag. And I tried new Cintiq 22HD too (great tablet) and this Cintiq had lag too. My PC have 24GB speed RAM, I am working on pieces with resolution over the thousands pixels (10000x8000px for example) with Intuos and I have not any lag - my cursor is still working well.

Thank you for the blog link! There are so many useful book there. I bookmarked these two sites, they will be extremely useful for when I start buying some reference books.
If you have 24gb of ram then your PC shouldn't be the issue, especially since the demo was done on a blank canvas. You tried the 24HD touch and 22hd? How did they work otherwise? I rarely get these opinions on cintiqs, usually I get the impression that cintiqs are always superior.

You're welcome Not only for references but also for inspiration Books like Exodyssey, Kolonie, Structura and others are great inspiration source.
Yes, I tried Cintiq 24HD and 22HD. They works on the same principle, but 24HD Touch have better display (not only larger) - 10bit colors, ready for color calibration etc. And have a touch layer for fingers control (like smarthpones and tablets) - but this control is not really accurate - Cintiq sometimes take a position of your hand with pen and uses this like a pen touch. Simply - Accepts your hand like a pen This leads to errors and switch off this touch function is good solution. 24HD have great ergonomy, but it's very big piece of hardware, your studio must be prepared for this colossus. It's bit good solution for second monitor, because C 24HD have large borders around screen. And carefully, cover glass - it's very easy to scratch him.
Cintiq 22HD have worst display panel, but still much better then older version like 21UX. For most users is very good. This Cintiq is smaller, and I think, that also more practical. Workplace is still enough big and tablet have X-stand - you can rotate by the whole tablet like by your notepad or sketchbook. I like this Cintiq.
Don't get me wrong - Wacom made a great art tools, Cintiq is a top of them. But I think, that financial difference between Intuos and Cintiq is so big, and I am not sure if it makes sense. You can create excellent art by Intuos, as well as by Cintiq. I advise people to try the Cintiq - it's a best way for making sure if buy or not. I am a long time user of Intuos and Cintiq don't convinced me that I can not be without him

Thank you for the info! I have an intuos5 and had some recent problems with it's surface texture wearing down, I might try buying transparent paper and taping it on the surface to keep it smooth and I heard the touch function still works. You surely have come across this problem since you have to use your intuos4 much more than me, has this been a problem for you?
For me it is since there are spots that are smooth and the corners are usually rough since it doesn't get used that much around there so sometimes making long brush strokes give me inconsistent feedback on the texture of the surface witch can be distracting.
