I've finally decided to do another recolouring from one of my old drawings , except this time it's Chaka and Amara as adults. I really hated Amara's dark colours in the old one because we all know this is mostly the colours that were used for when Nala was in the jungle or something like that (I might still use these dark colours only when Amara will be in dark places or/and in the jungle, we'll see).

*This is going to be Kopa's pelt colour from now on, too.*

I might precise also that I didn't like their expressions in the old one anymore, so I changed it. The reason is simple, they hate each other now, while originally they were okay with each other, they now can't stand each other's presence. They tolerated each other as cubs but as adults it's a huge NO. Like you guys have read in my Simba and Nala's kids (my HC) vers II. Chaka wasn't even that fond of her as cubs, so in a way he was always obnoxious as a cub. The only siblings he would speak would be Kion and Kiara (and of course their mates) because they're a queen and king consort but it stops there, the siblings that aren't king/queen or king consort/queen consort he completely ignores them or just be obnoxious and arrogant around them. Like Amara, he never knew his parents because Simba died when Nala was pregnant with them.

As a king consort... well, he isn't very well appreciated from his subject nor that he cares about them, the subjects are wondering what this lioness saw in that jerk, plus having cubs with him? Really a disgrace but of course they keep it hush-hush about it. Chaka was send off to the Grasslands by Kion and Rani (he was raised by them since he was a young cub, he was happy that Amara didn't want to come with them at the Tree of Life) so he can be married to the oldest Grassland's princess, Jamila. He and Jamila have two sons together: Hami and Jabali. He'll be killed later in life by his older son Hami after he found out his father only cares about his royal title, not his subjects and family (he didn't want to believe it at first but after an accident... well, let's say it changed him).

As for Amara, she didn't want to go at the Tree of Life because she wanted to stay at Hakuna Matata Falls with her grandfathers, so Bunga and Binga stayed with them to take care of her until she's old enough to take care of herself, plus Amara sometimes can be as devilish as her father and older sister was when they were cubs, and that Bunga really wants his uncles to rest, so he and Binga tries to keep an eye on her. They didn't think Amara was a handful, though. Kopa helps too, sometimes, fearing that Amara's devilish antics can bring up memories of his father to his grandfathers, due that Simba died of some sickness when his mother was still pregnant of Chaka and Amara. Amara was a preteenager when her grandfathers had died and she took it very hard. She was very close to them, and close to Bunga and Binga. If she had a choice she would have eaten grubs only but because she's a lion she needs to eat meat. She tried to be kind with her twin but he would always be rude with her. Not long after Zazu and Rafiki's funeral Bunga and Binga returned to the Tree of Life, Amara was visibly upset at first but after a discussion with Kopa and Kiara, she finally understood that the Tree of Life had always been their true home.

She continued to live with Kopa (along with Vitani) until she was an adult and that she was called by a bird that the jungle where her father was raised needed a new gaurd, so she had asked four of her friends Haraka (a king cheetah), Sadiki (a chimpanzee), Mjinga (an elephant) and Unyoya (a tawny owl) if they would be willing to be the new guard with her to the jungle... the oasis, they took the time to think about it and they finally agreed to go with her to this new journey. Her girlfriend Nzuri (transgender/butch lesbian and a hyena) also followed them. Amara and the others were amazed by the jungle and will make it their permanent home even when retiring from the guard. She and Nzuri later on will have two girls: Zaina and Malaika (yes, named after her great-aunt). She's pansexual.
