Personality:
Galen is extremely vain. He honestly believes he should be worshiped and pampered, still, despite no longer being with his parents. This unfortunately leads to thinking himself superior or more important, and he often times comes off as an ass. He's quick-witted and most assuredly not above teasing. Galen is flamboyant and proper, keeping his appearances even in the heat of battle. He believes if he is going to fight, he should look amazing while doing so, as should all those around him.

While his outward appearances and actions may not allude to intelligence, it could not be father from the truth. Galen is a thinker, book-smart and strategic. He just lacks the more common social intelligences often needed to get along with people at a deeper level. Overall, the man is extremely flashy and showy, and will never hesitate to make a grand entrance.

History/Description:
Galen was born into privilege. His early life was rather uneventful. Both of his parents were of noble lines among the merrow, and Galen himself is regarded as a prince among his kind. Even in his human life, Galen rarely wanted for anything. His father is an extremely wealthy and successful business man, owning a marine engineering company and his mother is a well-established fashion designer specializing in summer and swim wear. Young Galen was used to large homes, extravagant spending and being utterly spoiled.

He was sent to private institutions all throughout his schooling. While he was extremely intelligent, he often had a bit of a rambunctious side as a child. He got along well with other students, so long as they understood he was the center of attention. Galen liked to surround himself with people. He did well in school, graduating with honors. As his powers awakened once he reached maturity, his parents both urged him to continue his studies. And so, Galen did so, earning a degree in engineering, but quickly going back to school to study fashion like his mother instead.

While his true passion was obviously not cooperate work, Galen did take a job helping his father with his company rather than pursue the arts. He learned to speak several languages specifically for overseas business transactions. And after several years, Galen finally expressed to his father and mother how unhappy he was with his life. He, of course, adored the lifestyle they carried, but he could not help but feel something was missing.

His parents, while they had already explained to Galen of his true origin, had never really mentioned the Chancel in full to their son knowing it may very well take him away. But Galen was seeking something in his life, and many of their kind had found that something there before. And just as they suspected, Galen headed for Sanctum soon after. It was not really his intent to join as a Keeper, not at first. He actually started as an assistant in the Chancel records department. While the work was far more interesting that the desk work back home, he still felt like something was missing.

It was not until he watched a training session of Keeper recruits that he finally made up his mind. Galen was by no means a fighter, but he had some abilities he thought were rather special and could be of use somewhere. He was recommended for Whisper recruitment and the rest is history. He was paired with a rather quiet and stoic partner, which he has taken as a challenge to get the other to come out of that quiet shell.
