Description A quick visual reference for human fashion for and . Style is based on mid- to late-eighteenth-century (1700s) European fashion, with some fantasy elements thrown in.

Colors and fabrics vary; silks and satins for the upper class, coarser fabrics for the lower. If your character is poor, start with middle/working class style and just crap it up a bit.

There is no need for you to stick religiously to these ideas--just think of them as a starting point! For Agrondrae only, you may also incorporate more high-fantasy elements like cloaks and light armor.

I have been looking for historical fashion references for my art and stories-thank you so much!

hellcorpceo In reply to Tekai001 [2010-12-18 18:22:24 +0000 UTC]

This is really not good general historical reference. Some of the things are from the mid-18th century, some are from the late 1700s, and some have no historical basis at all.

Tekai001 In reply to hellcorpceo [2010-12-20 02:49:15 +0000 UTC]

I didn't really need an exact reference so to speak. I needed a general style similar to PoTC look Sorry if my excitement made me vague

So....

Where does Osric stand fashion-wise?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

hellcorpceo In reply to Andre-chan [2010-12-10 23:05:19 +0000 UTC]

Uh, pretty much the same way we use the bathroom now.

Andre-chan In reply to hellcorpceo [2010-12-11 00:00:35 +0000 UTC]

Even with those giant ballgowns? Did they take 'em off, or was there a special, uh, latch that opened?

hellcorpceo In reply to Andre-chan [2010-12-11 01:30:43 +0000 UTC]

Just hike the skirt up, man. They didn't have toilets. Just do your biz in a chamberpot.
