It's been a while but I'd like to know what exactly "premium content" is. Is it the same file you are submitting, re-loaded directly from your device? (totally confusing, what's the point if that's already submitted as the current deviation?) Could it be different pictures that I had used as Photoshop layers for this current deviation? Or a random image or two that you offer as extras?
I had looked up DA premium content in search engine, and read through a few pages of comments on this post -- still no clarity.
Maybe you could tell me what it s and what it's not. Thanks.

What is the difference between Print and Premium content ? I know that people selling arts through prints and is this the same thing with Premium content ?
For example, is it correct to set the same high res image for Print and Premium content ?
If it is correct then what is the difference of selling between those 2 options ?

What, isn't your advertising revenue enough? Now you want commissions on the sale of exclusive work that your less-than-privileged membership cannot access?
Not for me. Sounds simply like you want to be competitive with Patreon because it's turning out to be a revenue source that you're missing out on.
To me, this violates the underlying values that we as a dA community share: communication, open support, sharing of our work, critique, commentary, discourse. What the Premium Content Platform is doing is distorting the dA site in the service of monetizing art, thereby making its own nefarious contribution to the creation of two classes of people: those who can afford to purchase images in exclusive versions not posted at dA, and those who cannot.
And then there are people like me, a third class: those who will not, regardless of whether or not I can financially afford this kind of acquisitive behavior.
Let's hear it for classism. Is this a great country, or what?!

I see it as a way for people to support artists that want exclusive content! No one is going to force you or your favorite artist to use it. It's better that DA has this option so that fans can stay on this site instead of splitting their fan base with other places like Patreon

Hello! I have recently updated one of my products and have upped the pricing on it as well.
I was wondering, will this affect the price for my customers who have already purchased my product? I do not want my customers (who already paid before the price raise) to pay for the extra fee to download the updates as the price raise is intended for my future customers. I would greatly appreciate if anyone can confirm this.

I know it has been mentioned numerous times already, but I'd like to express one more time how useful it would be for both deviantART and its users to have a separate browsing page for premium content.
I believe that a lot more people would spend their points on premium works if they could be directly pointed to it.

The Premium Content is awesome, I love it a lot. It automatically download after payment but i have a few problems.. First, when we set our own price, why do we have to go by 5 and start with 10 points ? Second, how come we cannot see who bought the products? Third, after the buyer bought your items, they can rate the product out of 5 stars. But what's the point for that if no one can see it except the buyer who rated it ?

That makes sense, but what about purchasers who don't want to be identified? There are privacy and anonymity issues involved for the purchaser which I think should take precedence over the wishes of the seller, just as in any other "online" type purchasing.

I'm curious what the privacy and anomymity issues are for the purchaser. A purchase of Premium Content on DA is not broadcast to the entire community. It is private between the buyer and the seller. In almost every other marketplace on the internet buyers and sellers are not seperated like they are here (Etsy, eBay, Amazon, etc). Where else in "online" type purchasing is the buyer completely occluded from the seller? Also, many people use psudonyms on DA so there already is a fair amount of privacy simply because people use something other than their own name. Letting a seller know that "IDrawUnicorns" purchased Premium Content from the sellers page doesn't appear to be a breach of privacy at all.
I've purchased some Premium Content. I was suprised when I found out the seller did not know it was me who purchased the content. I would guess that most people purchasing the Premium Content aren't aware that the seller cannot see who they are. It is not an advertized (or even talked about) feature except here in this thread.
