You likely need to be a super geek to understand this deviation. If you have any experience with TV fandoms or fan fiction in general, you'll totally get it. Otherwise, not so much. If that's the case, here's a little introduction:

Shipping, derived from the word 'relationship', is a general term for fans’ emotional and/or intellectual involvement with the ongoing development of romance in a work of fiction. In the simplest of terms, if you 'ship' two things it means you want those two things to be together (often romantically).

Special thanks to $endosage for collaborating with me on this. He did all the heavy-lifting graphic work while I sat around and said things like, "make it cool" and "add more hearts".
