On the plus side, this means that the fantastical adventures of Heart and Nomoko are still ongoing, with epic space battles and bound maidens all over the place.

This very much reminds me of Superman's 4th dimensional robot that is aware of, and powered by the readers. I didn't really like it in Superman, because it's based in a framework that doesn't support that kind of meta, crisis crossovers notwithstanding, but this story almost has a basis in meta which makes this kind of thing work here.

On a side note, something about how Mannequin'd!Heart is posed bugs me. It looks like her arm is bending a couple inches back FROM where the wrist should be, instead of AT the wrist- is it just the way the clothes sit on her, or was that a legitimate art goof?

Ah so since there is still a Heart that exists within the Nomad world a sequel could still be made about that.... wow that's the wrong message to take from this strip isn't it? I do like the sort of meta breakdown of "just because you leave doesn't mean a part of you left behind isn't still feeding the story whose influence only gets stronger due to the fans feeding off of it." Of course how to explain sprockets to this take on Heart... who yeah really should be giving ID electronica a good sock to the face by now. I know I keep saying but seriously with how she keeps messing with Heart she earns it.
