Great work my man!
By the way, I was greatly impressed by your colour work on the latest Multiverse outing...

Thanks for the kind words, fella!
I think, as time wears on, I'm slowly learning how to do this colouring thing. Now, if I could just get it up to some sort of speed...

Oh, I know a few dodges, alright!
I learned a tonne of stuff doing this. Like I say, it was really all about finding a way to render hair. I wanted to get just the right balance between realism and stylised comic book art. It's not terribly detailed, but then it doesn't need to be.
Drawing the hair was a nightmare to work out, but colouring it was quite easy and fun.

See, this is why I needed to practice drawing hair.
I've got a way of doing this stuff, but it really isn't suitable for the more realistic style of art I'm hoping to adopt for my book. From what I gather, hair is as important an attribute to characterisation and storytelling as hands and facial expressions.
So, I realised I needed to work out how to draw specific hair styles. The way these shapes came out wasn't by accident. And I'm VERY proud of that fact!
Working it out really hurt my head, though, I gotta say.

And the best part is, the more of it you do, the more stuff you retain.
I honestly feel that I'm becoming a better artist for doing all this stuff.

Absolutely.
As long as you have time at your disposal, and willpower to do something, don't stop!!

Oh, it's getting to be more than that - I'm definitely trying to make it a regular part of my routine now.
