In the novels, the fleet is comprised of long ships. The Iron Born were heavily influenced by norse history.Β

This is a nice illustration on its own, but in my opinion the galleons are not the proper ship model for the Iron Fleet. The entire concept of the ironborn draws them much closer to the vikings than to the 16th-18th century seafarers and the general atmosphere of Song of Fire and Ice is high medieval, not baroque.Β

One question; why did you choose galleons for the ironborn ships? The books describe them as kind of oversized longships.
