Another of these my little rough sketches, but with a twist. This time I felt like even more of a challenge, and did it as a negative, with the light areas in reality being the areas in shadow. I'm not too keen on the mane and tail, but that's because I originally did them in a normal, non-negative style, but then changed them afterwards once I had decided on how to do the body. It did also have a line-art, but I scrapped that after shading because I think it looks better now .
Well it was a fun experiment, and maybe I'll try it again another time, because it really makes you think about where to shade. I will probably use the lines again, as I quite like them .
