This statue is put in height as hell. Can't do much for making it look closer. I was using 200mm lens to capture it, standing way far to get the front-view.Hehe, jauh yak...saking jauhnya itu patung ampe ngangkang begitu...

Very dramatic. I think alot of people might have cropped it tighter but I think all the sky around makes the image/statue have more power. To bad it is so far away it might be fun to have some closer images of the details of the statue.

i once wanted to cropped it tighter...due to the distance...it was like i said...a couple metres high...i was only using 200mm lens...couldnt get anything closer...

The title is about what the picture was depicting...the papua you visited back in those years...it was held by the Dutch during their invasion to Indonesia...several years...approximately 5 years after our indepence proclamation...it was freed by the Dutch to join the Indonesian Republic...
The statue itself represents the freedom of people...I dunno which one of them
