If there ever is a Warriors Orochi 4 in the future (probably on next-gen consoles, and PS3), and have a 4-man tag team, these 8 would be my top tiers. But of course, when has there been a 4-man team in a 1-2 player game? If there was a 4-man team, that would make the game even more challenging, right? Next thing you know it, NIGHTMARE MODE!A man can dream!
Just to get the SW characters to go together with the DW characters, I thought they should be in their DW counterpart outfits. Now available on PSN/XBLM for $4.99/800 MS points each pack.
If they make WO4 with a 4-man team, who would your 8 top tier be?

And if that keeps up, most of the people would make friends than enemies in their own world.

4 man teams? That'd be wild. I'd probably use Magoichi, Ling Tong, Kiyomori, and Hideyoshi.
My second team would be Toshiie, Nagamasa, Zhou Tai, and Lu Meng

Let me first of all say, if Koei makes an Orochi 4, they better add Atelier characters into the mix (if you don't know Gust, makers of the Atelier and Ar Tonelico series, were bought by Koei 2 or so years ago) no matter how unpractical it may be.
Okay now with that out of the way my team of 8 would first start with.
Simo Zhao - I don't know about his DW8 changes since I haven't played it but I usually keep him around for his musou. It comes out fast and hits hard cleaning out multiple of enemies.
Wang Yuanji - Does this choose need explaining?
Nene - Activating Nene Nimpo equals mass crown control.
Kaguya - She can drop officers and keep the crowd off easily.
Xu Shu - It doesn't matter if it's DW7E or DW8 or the eventual Warriors Orochi 4, this dude is just plane broken and he has an awesome move set.
Taigong Wang - His Musou may stink but his move set is awesome.
Ryu - (insert Awesome Gaiden joke here)
Wang Yi - My ace. Great moveset and musou together makes a good day for me. A bad one for the AI though.

I'm saving to buy Warrior Orochi 3 on PSN. I've never played any Warrior Orochi games, sadly, so I don't really understand the 4-man team thingie Q.Q

Playstation Store update, WO3 on PSN is now 29.99 instead of 49.99. BIG PRICE DROP =3 but if you like, there is Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper only for Wii-U with 4 extra characters, but that's up to you - Momiji, Rachel (Ninja Gaiden series), Shennong and Abe No Seimei.

Traditionally, in every Warriors game, including the Gundam and One Piece series, it has always been a one-man army. But when Warriors Orochi was introduced, KT gave us a 3-man tag team system where you pick 3 characters with their own category - speed, technique, power and the new wonder (in WO3). During battle, you can switch to any character you like. Characters who are not active regain HP and Musou, and unlike the traditional Warriors game, the active character on the battle cannot regain Musou when attacking or being attacked. To make things easier though, if you pick up HP and/or Musou items, ALL team members regain it.
Remember, it's a 3-man tag team, even on normal mode enemies will attempt to pile you up so that you switch to different characters. So yeah, Defence has been tweaked after WO 1 and 2. There's also another feature to the 3-man team, the friendship bond. Example: my team, Hanbei, Da Qiao, Xiao Qiao, as they fight together, their bonds will increase with every battle. When the bond reaches to a certain level, sometimes when you take a single, your teammate(s) will jump in and save you with a single-all-around attack and even give you a double speed, defence, or attack power-up. One more thing, there is a Triple True Musou attack where all 3 of your teammates attack all at once. Just look up some gameplay footages. This game is big; both feature and roster.

In the normal game you can choose a team of 3 characters, so je says IF there was a 4 man team who would you choose ^^
