oh god-oh god-oh god-oh god!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I feel so happy and proud because of this workXD I colored it without lineart to be have 3D look, and it's pretty nice
Okay guys this is a mythical creature, The Quetzalcoatl or Winged-Snake. I wanted to draw him because I added to the mythology of the Naga Kingdom. (guess why? XD)
Quetzalcoatl is the god of the sun and weather in the naga mythology, with one blow of his wing make tsunamis and tornados that can erase a whole country from the ground. Also he gave the sun to keep the Earth warm and fill up with light.
All nagas wear feathers and gold, the feathers symbolize the great Quetzalcoatl and the gold symbolize the sun why they're so greatful. In every year the nagas celebrate the "Birth of Sun" and make offers to Quetzalcoatl praying to keep the sun warm and leave them from the nature disasters.

indeed because this time I worked without linearts, I only used my tablet on a sketch. Hm... maybe I'll try some other art, but I prefer my original version, it's much easier lolXD

That's pretty good. I'm a big fan of quetzalcoatls.

However, you should 'build up' on it more.
Because most of it is highlight -> base -> shading
3-d or painting is
Lightest color -> lighter color -> light color (highlight) -> base -> dark color (shading) -> darker color -> darkest color
and you use shading as your advantage for noses, nostrils, etc.
and textures help too. It looks all skin instead of feathers and scales.
Also the anatomy of the wing is off. here's a guide for it [link]
Also I noticed the highlights on the gems and gold goes straight to white instead of a light red and light yellow then white. And the eyes' shading seems too light white the fur/hair seems to have no highlights at all.
also as a note. be careful about the black and white. Some parts seemed too dark or too light in contrast with others. use it sparingly. but it excludes eyes

Yeah I know it has some mistakes of course, this was my first work and trying color without lineart. You're right with the feathers and scales, but in my opinion the wings are just fine, because they're not full opened, its in movement.
