Been a while since I did MLP-related art but this was quite an adventure to complete! I watched tutorials, studied photos, made a moodboard, basically everything I learned in my old photography classes XD Some of you watched most of the progress on Twitter and I appreciated the support
It was challenging at first, especially making the grass look right (had to redo it a few times) but towards the end, I started having fun working on it! I attempted a new method for coloring the characters: making a textured greyscale before coloring the characters with Overlay layers, like I did for this piece here:
