Description PLEASE NOTE: This description will be moved to a full artwork when I have a background prepared for this piece and it will simply become a stock list. But in the meantime here is the details shot of Princess Hilda for your viewing pleasure.

Hello you lovely people! Looks like I am certainly getting back into the swing of this art thing again, and I just pulled this mega piece out of the bag! *points up* I came across an artwork here on deviantART of one "Princess Hilda" and it got me mega curious that I had to research this Zelda look-a-like for myself. And what do you know, Princess Hilda is Princess Zelda's counterpart in an alternate realm in A Link Between Worlds. I could not resist making my own artwork of Princess Hilda after that.

However I did not want to do a direct fanart piece.... more like 'inspired by', similar to how I did my "Princess of Time" piece of Zelda. Also this was inspired by the Twilight Princess installation of the games, so this is my interpretation of how Princess Hilda may have looked if she had been a part of said game. Creative liberties and all that jazz.

I reused a few stocks that I had used for Princess Zelda, namely the face/neckline and hair... how could I not when Hilda and Zelda are look-a-like's, and it made it a little easier having these things already available, however I did make the pose from scratch by piecing reused stocks and new stocks together in order to create it. And yes, the dramatic sleeves were a must! I could not resist them when I found them in the stock photos for the bodice. I also added a purple rim around the skirt just for another variance between the princesses.

However, I did make her a crown of squares/diamonds and circles, like she has in A Link Between Worlds so that she has some details that are unique to her. EDIT: I edited her crown slightly to have only a few square/diamond pieces and the rest made form chain, the original design looked very awkward, this looks much better. But I color changed all the jewels on the armor and jewellery I had made for Zelda to red in order to match the crown. Also, she has an inverted Triforce on her original dress design so I tweaked the sash/banner that hangs from the belt to have that concept, but the color scheme for it is from "Dark Zelda" (which I may yet do a manip of as well).

Whoa, looks great! It's seriously awesome to see some more Hilda art, she's so awesome but unappreciated!!!
As always your use of photo editing, along with your own drawings, never seems to fail to impress. In fact you only get better.

I'm loving these, keep it up

Haha, was wondering how long it would take you to find this
You should see my "Dark Zelda", it's in the same class of awesomeness as this.

Never fail to impress eh? Well thanks! I do feel like the more I create them the more I can say "I know what I'm doing here", rather than sort of stumbling my way through and producing something out of random happenstance (yes, it's an actual word). lol

*googles happenstance* Well, It sure is a word... I shall remember to use this word whenever I can now! I guess you could say the happenstance of me using this word is certain... Okay, maybe I should use it less often ._.

But in all honesty, you never seem to be stumbling your way through. I always thought you knew exactly what you were doing. In fact I imagined that I was the only one stumbling my way through a drawing, making mistakes like I get paid huge amounts for each one
I guess we should stop being so self critical (haven't we had this conversation before )

I may use digital art as my preference, but trust me: I make alot of mistakes too. Especially if it's a drawing/painting.
But with photomanip's... while I may have a "rough idea" of what I want, the creation of it does have a fair bit of trail and error. But even if I have to go hunting for something part way through an artwork, as long as I have an idea of what I want as the finished piece then I know roughly what I need to look for (while making sure I keep a record of everything I use so I don't have to hunt them down again for the credits list). But there is some stumbling around when it comes to making the artwork - I use Ctrl-Z and the eraser alot!

Stop being self critical? Is that even possible for us?

Oh god, now that I've started digital I understand the necessity for Ctrl-z and eraser... Well, at least we can stumble until we kinda get it right

She looks really good, I've thought that Hilda would suit the Twilight Princess style very well.
