I love this series, though I rarely see fan art of it. This is very nice. Great job.

ah yes, it sucks that there isn't much fanart from it. Fruits Basket is one of my favorite things ever. but hopefully with the reprint of the manga, maybe it'll become more popular.
and thank you so much!

It's my favourite shojo ever (though I don't care for the anime). A lot of other shows and mangas (especially the mangas) that I've read and watched rushed themselves to no end. Fruits Basket started fast but slowed down a lot and it was nice. The reactions were a lot more human than I've come across.
I didn't know they were reprinting the manga.

I can see what you mean xD
I avidly watch anime tho haha. If I enjoy an anime I'll usually buy the manga xD I'm almost done collecting the Fruits Basket manga, I have one more volume to buy and I've read up to volume 17
but yes, they're reprinting the manga with new covers, but their the large, 3-in-1 volumes.
I think they're reprinting it to help promote the new series Fruits Basket Another but I could be wrong.

Oh, I've seen the 3-in-1. I already had two of the volumes in it though. I heard the anime was cut short, and I haven't seen much of it but I don't like how it was done too much.

ah I really loved the anime xD
it was one of my firsts so its really special for me haha
but yeah, the anime changed around some events and it was cut short
I saw the anime before reading the manga tho so I didn't know this until I was reading the manga xD
but in my opinion I still adored the anime ^^

It's hard for someone to read a complete series to like an incomplete one since it changes the climax and such. Where exactly did the anime end? I could probably explain that in better terms if I knew. I'm just a but unsure.
When it's the other way around, I still like the show. Both Ao no Exorcist and Black Butler do the exact same thing (with the later changing it's plot entirely after a few introductory episodes making the manga significantly darker). While since I have more to love from the mangas, I've turned to favouring the mangas more than the shows, I still value the shows themselves. When I read it first, I won't watch it afterward since the feeling just isn't the same. It's one thing to like and then love a series, but what happened with Fruits Basket feels the opposite with me.

No yeah, I understand
The fruits basket anime ended with Kyo's transformation and Tohru finding out and accepting it
For an anime it seemed like a pretty good ending place
But as I read the manga, I realized that they switched scenes from the manga around in the anime
In the manga, Kyo's transformation comes before Tohru meets Hiro. In the anime they switched the scenes around so Tohru met Hiro before she found out about Kyo's secret
Idk why they did that, but if I compare them, (and solely based off my memory bc I haven't seen the anime in years) the scenes are pretty accurate, the order of events isn't though.

They changed event order to create better looking content for the shorter series and dulled down or got rid of anything hinting to things later in the series (that would not be able to happen in the short anime). Series do that sort of stuff a lot.
