Beautiful work, really eye-catching at the first glance. I have no experience using fractal design software like Apophysis and the like but I’m interested to write a critique on the general artistic values of this. Let’s begin. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/>

The first time I looked at this I immediately sensed a powerful illusion of depth. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think each spiral width is decreasing exponentially and thus creating an extreme transition from the largest to the smallest. The curly strokes on the ‘flower petals’ also remind me of music visualizer back of the good old Windows Media Player (e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=" (Big Grin)"/>) which is good actually, because my point is it added a sense of movement, not just depth, which is a good score in dynamic value. I love it how the subtle pink lines are moving and almost vanishing towards the deep blue center. Plus the way you positioned the flower more on the left instead of the center image area makes the view point more interesting.

But I think even with those great points this piece still looks somewhat static, because the flower’s angle is only slightly tilt to the right, just a little more above 90 degress, and so with the shape, it’s seems generally like a square repeated with same lines, same pattern, more or less same colors.

About the colors and patterns, at first sight they’re maybe interesting but after you looked at them for more time it gets boring easily despite the unique combination and stunning design. There’s barely any variation. Although maybe there are some limitations with the fractal software, I’ve seen other fractal arts including yours and it seems possible to somehow create elements that won’t seem monotonously repetitive.

Also in my opinion it might be better if the view point was not so directly looking into the flower like this because then it’s another static 90 degree angle, what if the camera just slightly ‘looks up’ so the view point would also look ‘exponential’ if you know what I mean. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/c/c… " width="18" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="108" title="Confused"/>

But all in all this is a wonderful art with awesome vision of depth, only perhaps need to work more on color variation and especially increasing the overall dynamic.

PS: I’m here for Critmas 2016 Game with the spirit of constructive critique writing/commenting. This critique will be collected in my journal: Huntress On the Hunt! #1 Critmas 2016 . Far and away this is my absolute favorite of these. It's been awhile since I've been on, but I can see that you are still going strong, hun.

wow, Phoenix - long time, how have ya been ss
Yes, have been m.i.a. a little from DA, had to take a break, now I'm around and doing net-overtime
to catch up with things
Going moderately, I post and run, same with faving you know how it goes

wow, Fiery. It has been a long time. Best I can say is read my latest journal entry because it has been a roller coaster in terms of how I've been. I have been MIA from DA as well. Life and emotions definitely got the best of me during this spring. I think it is getting resolved now (with some encouragement with a friend on meds/ vitamins) so I'm finally incorporating my artwork back in to help balance things a bit more. It has been WAY too long to actually realize how important/ necessary artwork has become. I'm trying to get caught up as well as working on some new pieces for submission.

I believe that the post and run has been my thing lately as well. I will fave stuff that catches my eye but it is impossible for me to keep track of everything except messages and notes. Those I pay attention to but everything else takes a back seat because just earlier today I had over 2k deviations to look at. I couldn't do it so I will check out recent stuff at the groups themselves. Maybe I'll see you in the chat rooms sometime because I do love the socializing there.

awww.....that is not good, being isolated it's not fun - had a look at your recent journal
and I'm glad you are o'right and nothing happened
Artworks can really help to keep your mind of the really 'dark' situations & times
You going to be very busy, looking thru what everybody is doing and also coming up with your
new pieces, I would say focus on this and everything will balance itself ss
Welcome back Steven

Words fail me, but I seriously appreciate your reply. I'm very grateful that nothing happened either.
I remember when I started to create fractals how much help you gave me early on and I am so glad for our friendship, Iwona. I'm already very busy (up to 6 fractals in the last three days )
Thank you Iwona ss
