Description These are just a few snapshots of what I use to create my drawings (note:this is only a small portion of my art/design supplies - I included only the ones I use for what I post on deviantart). I mix both traditional and digital work (rarely do I stick to just one on a piece).

Digital (Top Left):
This is my Wacom Bamboo Create. I friggin' love this thing! I haven't had it for long, so I'm still figuring out the nuts and bolts. I'm not used to drawing on a pad and having to look up at a screen, so that is quite an adjustment. The tablet also came with Photoshop Elements (on my laptop screen in the bottom photo) and I really like it for photo editing. I also use Photoscape for editing and Gimp 2 for drawing.

Traditional (Top Middle):
I like doing all sorts of traditional media (metals, painting, design) but drawing is my favorite. For my drawings, I use a standard, medium weight drawing paper (with a bit of tooth to it - I like the texture) and my mechanical drafting pencils (love the precision you get with a mechanical pencil). Then, I ink in my linework. I've used a ton of different brands and types for pens, but I've been currently using Prismacolor Premier Illustustration Markers. They have a nice ink flow to them (I also like drafting pens - talk about getting perfect lines!). Then I color. Let me tell you...if you like drawing with colored pencils and have not tried Prismacolor pencils, you are missing out! I swear by these things!!

(Top Right):
This is just the finished product of a drawing. The edited and uploaded version is here: [link]

What I use (Bottom):
This shows the mixture of digital and traditional media that I use, as well as other art supplies I include in some pieces.

If you have any questions about specific supplies I use, please ask away in the comments. Hope you enjoyed this! Creating art is just about the best thing...in my opinion

Sorry, this is a bit random, but I like the laptop I have the very same one XD It's so neat to know I'm not the only artist with one of these laptops! It just seems like everyone else on dA that I see has a Macbook or an Asus.Β

Your work space seems so much more organized than mine!

Yay! That makes me happy too. I agree, most people seem to have their Macs and Asus is very popular as well. It is rare to see someone else with an Acer.
And I cleaned up my workspace for the picture a bit, I usually have sketches and headphones laying about.

Thank you so much for the comment!

I think most people buy the other computers believing that they need the power and memory. It isn't a totally accurate assumption though. I've had mine for about 4 years now and it's done all that I expected it to do and then some. It has the Β right amount of memory and it's a speedy little machine. The only problems I've had with it is that it burned through 2 hard drives in that time. Thankfully the first one was faulty so it wasn't the computer (and it was under warranty), but the second was legit. When I got it fixed, they put in a 320 instead of a 250 so I have a lot more memory now. Still, the thing is a tank and the outer shell is just as strong I also have a bamboo that I use with it.

Oh I guess it's a thing that affect all artists. The downsides to a creative mind is that sometimes the work space ends up a little out of order at times XD

No problem! Β

Nice! I'm fortunate to still have my original hard drive (although I burned one with my previous dell). And yay bamboo! I love mine so much, great little tablet.
