Of course, this is the gang of Yugi Mutou, which means that the word 'normal' is not something that is part of their lives. seeing a duel monster outside a duel and having a grumpy former spirit as your bodyguard is common for these people.
And they also have the spirit of their old friend looking out for them in the ancient Egypt realm of death, Duat, who from time to time, visit them in their dream.
Is it really that surprising that a new evil decides to come knocking on their doors, and they have to once again put on their hero pants and stop it?
Surely it was expected to happen. This time they are looking after a murderous phoenix which a Goddess of Fate told them would burn the whole city down if not stopped.
So once again, it is Yugi's destiny to stop this evil no matter what...
