Description Part 1 of a pair. I am making this series of posters as part of a wedding gift for my best friend. The design is based around the embrace of the couple, embodied in the twisted fabrics of pink (brides theme colour) and pint-stripe dark grey (grooms suit). I plan to print them in the next couple of days, so any comments, tips or thoughts between now and then would be greatly appreciated. Each poster is 490X690mm to mounted in 700X1000 frame.

Cheers

EDITS: removed cracked texture background / removed inner shadow on plus symbols / reduced opacity of plus symbols

The only thing that maybe, in someone's dark corner of thought, might be off a little is the cracked texture in the background. Not sure if it really is needed because the other objects add some diversity.

Excellent work though.

really nice man, as always, i would love to know how you get such good renders in 3d studio max because whenever i try a get some squashed crap thing, my cinema 4d ones are ok but not my 3d max

cheers bro, have you tried vray as your renderer, its certainly far better than default scanline and even mental ray

yeah i have used v-ray, which is great for some of the stuff i have done its just all of the models never look and good, just tend to be a squashed mess

I lvoe both parts as it is... everything from the shape to the color palette..
How do you do them? 3d? Vector, or maybe both? What programs do you use? And do you touch it up in PS?

Thanks mate, i really appreciate it. The fabric forms are modelled using 3ds max, and the background vectors in microstation, then the rest of the stuff is all done in PS
