Most obvious to the naked eye is that the artist has stayed true to the oriental culture by using kanji and iconographic symbols of Chinese and Japanese art (the ink brush.) What amazes me however is the amount of detail not gone into the linear art, but rather, the coloring, it's astounding to see a change in the common formula that most artists use, which is to make massively detailed line art, only to leave a more then underwealming color scheme due to fatigue and lack of remaining coffee (neither starbucks shops down the street could help either...I JUST WANT A NORMAL CUP OF COFFEE!!! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/m/m… " width="15" height="15" alt="
What the artist might want to consider however is avoid using colors in areas that might distract the viewer in unintended ways, the blue and pink are an example, as you see pink faster than the blue and thus are more focused on sections that are pink. Well, I think the "dream" theme fits it very well...like a fantastic dream with flowers, spring, magical dust, create things, light, wishes, dreams themselves.The coloring looks great and the color scheme is obviously colorful but not re-charged...good mix between light colors and fluo colors. The shading/lighting is well done, everything looks smooth but strong. Also the oriental theme gives a good touch. Reallt cant imaging water color can do like this!
The profile is beautiful, those details show patience and skill, and the overall composition is beautiful., Plus, he head wear is particularly gorgeous, not to mention he's beautiful hair blew me away! He’s expression is great too, excellent work!
The flower painting on the lantern have traditional feel, very suitable and nice. love the left hand's poses touch hold the lantern, amazing work!
And the Chinese calligraphy is really splendid!
On a while the picture is very elegant and nice.

The lines and colors melt like in a dream,
power inside, boom, locomotive, this adds a lot of steam,
head spins, fantasy takes a ride, onto the bike! Highway in the pond-cinema awaiting,
its light-time! Jump into the water, take the rocket to dive, the flora and fauna dancing in beat-rock-disco, up down, swirl, slash, one, two, go!
rhythm comes in, breaking the ground and I find myself at the underground-cloud 99999!
