Inktober day 4Finally finished this. I tried a lot of different styles and techniques with this. I am not really happy with how dark I made the sky. I feel like it takes away a little from the rest of it. But, overall, I like it for the most part. I definitly learned a lot while working on this for inktober.

Love the Burton style!
While the style could easly make the picture look overdetaild and dirty, in the sense of to many strokes and lines, the overall feel is ofΒ cleanliness and purpose for each line in it. The lines themselves are smooth, both the straight lines and the curves were drawn with confidence and do not appear scratchy, even if some of them are a bit thicker than others.
I also appreciate the bit of extra effort you put into the presentation. Some people upload blurry pictures with terrible lighting, so it's really nice to see a traditional drawing, where you can actually look at the lines without being distracted by the way it was digitalized! But the DA watermark undermines it a bit.
The finer details are also very well placed and only add to the overall atmosphere, the smaller bats are kinda hard to see but the ones that are supposed to drag your attention are very well placed.
And i know this was made for inktober but have you thought of coloring the digitalized version of this piece ? A color palete like the one on Nightmare Before Christmas would make this piece beautiful !
P.S : i liked the sky, it's a nice jumble of "Styles" and it complements the rest of the drawing very well, it takes away a bit on the area with the house but nothing that really breaks the atmosphere
Overall i like it and would love to see more of this kind of art !

I do see what you are sating about the bats. I need make sure I use better placement next time. As far as colour goes, I actually have never thought about what this would look like in colour. Some thing I will have to look into.

I really love this the time you put into this piece really shows. I disagree, personally I like that different shades of the sky including the dark (black) parts, adds some variety! The style you did reminds me ofΒ Vincent Van Gogh's in Starry Night. An overall beautiful but spoopy piece keep it up.Β
I think the only little thing I could maybe point out to keep an eye on is the paw on the wolf in the foreground looks a bit awkward coming out of his body, it looks sort of like it is coming out of his neck but that's nothing too serious~
