When looking at this piece, I certainly felt that it wouldn’t look a hair out of place on an environmentalist’s body, as a bit of tattoo art. Or I guess, if being informal works better, a bit of a tree-hugging type.
It really has all of those elements of one of the most mythical, beautiful forest creatures crying their heart out as their homes are pulled to the ground to make way for new human lodgings or towns. This, mixed with the lovely purple flowers at the bottom, allow the picture to stand out in more ways than one.
As for the fawn herself, I can’t find fault in the way the horns were designed or how the skin looks, as they both look well done. I guess the only thing that stood out as odd to me were the demonic reddish/purple eyes she possessed. I mean, you might hear of one crying until their eyes turn red, but that just seems a bit over-the-top to me. If I may ask, what was the intention behind that?
Regardless, you can feel the emotion emanating from her eyes, and overall, it’s very hard to find any issues with this piece of art. Perhaps one might call it “ecological excellence.” Anyway, well done!
