Ah.. I did a mistake. In this drawing I used brown pencil °.°
In this ---> [link] I used the brown ink (for eyebrows, eyelashes, eyes, mouth, details) : D
Anyway I used Winsor & Newton colored inks.
Sometimes I utilize Ecoline. For white and black I often use Deleter too. : 3

For watercolors I utilize Winsor & Newton and Schmincke . I Love Schmincke ! *.*

Ooh.. thank you so much for very helpful information! Though I think those colored inks are not available here in my country as far as I know. I'd like to test those materials someday.

Winsor & Newton watercolors are available here, I guess I'll go and get some soon. Maybe the quality of those artists-grade watercolor are really better than the student-grade Prang brand that I use. I haven't seen any Schmincke brands on sale here so I can't try it yet.

I love to test different materials too! : D
I discovered Schmincke about two years ago. The Horadam (extrafine watercolors) version is really expensive.
So I bought just some colors to try them.
So I mixed inks, ecoline, watercolors, etc! : D

At December I decided to do a crazy expense, and so I bought many things on this site [link] .
Finally I bought a complete Schmincke set! : D

I took watercolors paper with Grain Satin/Hot Pressed too! *.*
I live in Naples (Italy) and it'is difficult to find the paper with grain satin.
The first time I found it in another city, during a pleasure trip (I was in Lucca city for exhibition of comics : D).
I tried the paper and I fell in love! : D

In this drawing I didn't utilize grain satin, because I like to experiment with different tools, but my favourite paper is still Grain Satin/Hot Pressed ! : D

I think that you could find some tools on internet! I often buy on the web! The prices are very good! : D

wow, you're really experienced in materials testing! now that you tell me these things, maybe I'll try to get a debit card I can use to purchase materials from the web. I don't have one yet because I'm a bit afraid of online purchases as well as news of unfair tax prices here when the items are shipped (because they're from overseas). But I guess I'll take risks one time until I get comfortable. For now, I'll probably start with upgrading my watercolor brand and see how it goes. As for paper, there's the trusty Moleskine and Aquarelle Cardinal brands I use. There's also Arches in stores but I have not tried it yet.

I really appreciate the stories of the materials and I'm ecstatic that you do love watercolor. (And I see that you also do comics!) Also, thank you for the dev watch and the s!
