Well the program itself does show similar results to photoshop and studying how people did the effects in their sprite comics like Vegi-Kun could be a good example to review and analyzed them while using the pages they made as reference. Official comic pages like from Marvel, DC, etc. can be used as reference too if you ever needed ideas for scenes. And no problem.
