That's part of it. There's a lot of dual meaning here and play on word/concept. The spiral notebook/spiral progression. The personal development/film development. There is more to the meaning past that tho.

I think the eye is fine. It brings things together as a nice focal point in contrast to the rest of the picture. If it were blurred like the rest, the pic would lose definition.
I especially like how you start with the eye and the line spirals out throughout the rest of the picture. It give a lot of movement along with the blur.
Does the spiral paper edge have anything to do with the spiral you put in the pic?

BTW: 10 cool points to anyone who can tell me why the spiral paper edge is in there...

This speaks volumes, which makes me like it even more, so I had to talk about it all day. I think the clarity of the eye is what acts as a starting point, making for good visual hierarchy.

Thanks, that was the idea in it. I hoped to get across in a subliminal way, the inner v outer vision dichotomy. Putting the clear eye in front and on top of the hand really gets that across.

its cool, but the eye on the hand looks way to much in focus compared to the rest of you, and it also looks too big...
