Description not just zombie's and not just Nazi's, they are Nazi zombies. double the evil, double the fury and double the fashion sense. for some inexplicable reason they they have risen from the grave to try to take over the world once more. good thing there is a private military that has trained for years, just for this scenario. people laughed, but whose laughing now as they work to save the world from the undead horde.

this project took me about 4 weeks start to finish and was a huge learning experience, this was my first time working with vacuumed formed parts, second time painting figurines, and my second tank. there was a lot more i could of done but for my first "real" dirroma this was a good start. all in all i am happy with the end result. with this experience hopefully my next diorama will come out much better.

special thanks to every one who inspired me along the way( too many of you to list sorry) and thanks to my friend Zyrr [link] for naming the piece.

Thanks for the great critique! lol yes the zombies are quite "blue" what happened is i wanted a rotting green, but i work mostly at night, and my desk lamps bulb is weird. the light i was using threw off the true colors and i didn't even realy know till i got the piece outside.
lol definitely something i have learned form, and have bought "true color" bulbs for my work space.

Nice!
What's the cobblestone roadway made from?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

enc86 In reply to Geosammy [2012-06-08 01:51:29 +0000 UTC]

this was my first planed out diorama, so i pretty much bought everything. the church and and street were a mini arts kit.

Geosammy In reply to enc86 [2012-06-08 02:18:45 +0000 UTC]

I see...
I once made a cobblestone roadway out of meat-packing trays.
Drew the lines with a ruler and a ballpoint pen (no ink in the pen). The impression the pen made on the foam worked out great. Good thing I know how to lay-out bricks.

enc86 In reply to Geosammy [2012-06-08 02:24:19 +0000 UTC]

ahhh great idea! i have made a road with cut up bits of wood on my "overkill" diorama, and recently i did a few tests with plaster molds that came out pretty nice as well.

thank you! the models came out pretty good. lol this is the one where i started to try to take better photographs. lol figured out that shooting outside makes a world of difference.

Jdurk In reply to enc86 [2012-05-25 21:37:33 +0000 UTC]

Haha yeah better lighting and all around just makes it better. I shot inside once and it looked horrible

enc86 In reply to Jdurk [2012-05-25 21:39:20 +0000 UTC]

lol yup, i use to pretty much just shoot inside. when i do shoots outside it adds depth.

Jdurk In reply to enc86 [2012-05-25 21:55:27 +0000 UTC]

It really does, so you are more sculpture and 3D rather than digital or canvas? or do you do all art forms haha

enc86 In reply to Jdurk [2012-05-25 22:20:28 +0000 UTC]

no i have never done wood caving. lol i own a small farm tho, so i build random stuff out of wood all the time.

Jdurk In reply to enc86 [2012-05-25 22:34:49 +0000 UTC]

Haha i hear ya, my old high school teacher carved this huge totem pole out of wood it was awesome, 3D and sculptures take a lot of time and are tiring aha

wow thats an amazing diorama!

but i have to say, i like the tank alone more.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

enc86 In reply to Coffeebean2 [2012-05-22 04:10:50 +0000 UTC]

thanks man! and yea i kinda feel like a made a mistake by adding the guy to it. makes it so i cant display the tank alone. did the same thing with wheres bob [link] which really sucks because i never got a good photo of that tank alone. and that was a pretty neat kit.
