The gold in Genie's fins is really prominent in this photo. Almost looks like he has been lit up from behind. I disturbed him from resting on his leaf with this shot. Lazy fishie ^_^Genie is a turquoise and gold halfmoon siamese fighting fish (betta splenden.)

If he is resting on a leaf, its more than likely the water current for him is too great.

Mm no, the water movement is fine. He is in a rather large tank and the filter outlet breaks the surface of the water to lessen it's current in the water. If the water wasn't still enough for him I'd find him sitting in the corner where there wasn't any movement but he's pretty happy in his tank. I tend to find all my betta love sleeping on the leaves of their plants or on their moss balls

Yeah. Well he is my biggest betta, looks a bit mean and he flares at everything before swimming away and hiding! He even flares at his food ^_^
