Actually the stamp at the bottom right is my last name, in chinese. If you ever look at Asian paintings and see a red stamp, that's the artist's signature or identification. You can get one with your full name, or one with just your last name. In this case I didn't have one so I just painted it in (Rather badly)

Actually... I'm not entirely sure. I think you have to visit someone who specializes in making these stamp thingies. They can cost alot because not all people are capable of making good, credible stamps nowadays.

I adore how everything's always so scattered in your art. ^^ It's like there's not enough room to contain all that you want to express; you're always gonna have to spill over the lines, like those lips and those eyes; and there aren't enough colours that currently exist to be able to completely form what you want to say.

Of course I appreciate what you do! I took the liberty to put this as a desktop background at some point in time (sorryy, I didn't ask... but it's kind of advertizing your works in a way ^^) and my mother happened upon my computer scree, and she was like.. "wait, close that window. Who painted that piece?!" She's the kind of analytic person woh'll find symbols in everything, and she finds your scattered-but-whole style quite fascinating too. It's kind of like that calligraphy in the asian movie "Hero" that gives away the secret of the artist's sword technique; this gives away your... I don't know. Very wide reach? Very wide/open understanding? I could go indepth but it would just come out as flattery ^^ so I'll stop there for now.

ookay I was just browsing through when I remembered your comment. Hmm you like "Hero" too, don't you? I thought it was very interesting (despite the "Chinese propaganda" or whatever they attribute to it) and I really like how the same story got retold with different twists each time.
Well I asked my Dad sometime ago about the sword technique, and he laughed about it and said "they just make it look cool in movies." But I'm pretty sure the sword technique and painting both relate, because you need lots of confidence and tenacity to do both. I think the Chinese way is to convey as much meaning with as little as possible, which is extremely difficult for the likes of me

Thank you... I would love to paint on a piece of japanese rice paper or something like that someday, and then turn it into a scroll.... I've always thought scrolls were so cool, because, unlike a book where you turn the page and everything's there, you can slowly open a scroll and savour the anticipation. xD
