Description Pretty much just point and shoot - a little snit-bit of the scenery along the Klondike Highway somewhere between Whitehorse and Carmacks. The fall colours are arriving and the light was ever changing due to the clouds. Talk about a scenic drive...

Location: Klondike Highway (somewhere between Whitehorse and Carmacks), Yukon Territory, Canada

Thank you! The Yukon really is amazingly vast. Everything feels so big and wide.

Ja, der Herbst im Yukon hat vor allem eine Farbpalette zwischen grΓΌn und gelb - ohne Abstufungen. Danke dir!

Wonderful I keep hearing its a great drive
Working on hubby so that we do it before we move away from Alberta
kind of looks the same where I live minus the mountains
only mounds here but the trees and the bogs are same

The mountains here are not that big. Compared to where I live they are gigantic though. If you want to see sharp mountains you have to drive until Tombstone. They aren't as high as the Rockies but the feeling will probably be similar.

You could drive on the highway east of the Rockies, then Klondike up to Dawson, take a small loop through Alaska and return on the other side of the Rockies (Alaska Highway?). We met some people from Victoria who did something similar. It would probably be amazing.

Yes yes I have a client who just did this
they are members of the Legion and visit
Legion Halls all over Canada and the world!
Sounds pretty nice to take that highway
especially that I love wilderness and no big cities to encounter

What's the Legion?

No big cities? Sounds like Klondike Highway, haha. The biggest "city" you will reach until Alaska is Dawson City and you can easily explore every corner of it by foot within a day.

Legion is groups that organize fund raisers and charity
and sponsor kids from out of country ect.. Actually they are
called The Royal Canadian Legion
Same idea as The Lions club, The Night of Columbus,
Kinette club, Kinsmen Club, Rotary Club,Β
and many more
I know they are all over Canada and USA and a few other countries
but not sure about Europe
I know these people have been to China also, so they are in other countries
Oh and my mistake this friend and her husband are members of the Rotary Club
not the Legion Same idea in what they do!

My kind of highway then with only small places!

I guess I know about them sinceΒ
when I was younger my Dad was in a few of these clubs
because of his work it was good for him to be there and know what they did
and help if he could!

Not quite sure. It's not set in stone but I'm probably going to be in the Canadian Rockies during the upcoming weeks. Right now I'm in Whitehorse to sort stuff out (buying a car, jobs etc.) so it will depend on how things are going to work out here.
