Description
The vastness of the forests up here always amazes me. It doesn't seem like the forest has any boundaries and just goes on forever. Something that's hard to imagine if you have lived your whole life in a country in mid-western Europe. This view is from the Grey Mountain parking lot at sunset, after we had finished our hike. It follows the Yukon River upstream and you can see the beginning of Marsh Lake in the distance, which stretches out another 30 km behind the mountain ranges. We decided to stay at the parking lot for the night for a chance to see the northern lights. We got to see some nice ones in the distance but nothing to photograph. It was worth it though.
