It's almost night and day between him and Jayna. He looks and if I remember right is more like a mage or a diplomat while she's clearly ready to knock someone's head off...
By why do these two seem more familiar then I'm going on about?

More or less. They might be quite familiar because you most likely read their names in the story. If you remember it (I hope you actually did ._.), and it will be explained in the colored versions of each, Cadorec is a psionic dragon and he is pretty much a pacifist, while Jayna is more a fighter with a bit of an attitude (Apparently my Greens/Emeralds are the arrogant ones
