This gives me the feeling like when you've just been dumped and you're heartbroken and still in shock and then you hear a nostalgic love song that used to make you happy and it feels like bits of your heart are peeling off like decaying wallpaper. Β I have no idea why it struck me like that- I've come back to look at it twice today. Β It's beautiful. Β I love it when a piece of art makes me feel something. Β Thank you.

I get more from this than I have time to relate.
This work does not suffer from a lack of texturing, you know?

Hey you surprised me on this one . It was tempting to add to this but somehow it said no. Thank you.

I thought you might say something like that and you are absolutely right about it.
I also thought it would surprise you.
You're always welcome.

Diane, as usual a wonderful piece inspiring me to meditate as a buddhist knows to practice...

Intriguing imagery.
Fine use of text/words.
Is there a difference, or much of one, working in collage as opposed to mixed-media collage? How are the challenges different? Or are they the same?Β Do you begin them the same?
And I should add -- wonderful piece, Diane.

There is a difference, not sure how to describe it. The mixed media pieces all have a full collage underneath the texture and paint so they do begin the same. Often I just want to add more as they don't look finished but this one said done, leave me alone. Thanks Ken.

OK. Thanks.
Not to belabor the point . Β . Β . how/when do you decide to switch to paint rather than add another layer of collage?Β
