Description After page ten, I will be going back to daylight scenes (don't hold your breath!!)

Why oh why don't my griffins' expressions stay the same from pencil sketches?!?! Filigree's face in the first panel looks a little.... derpy. And Ethad's look in the next panel over is supposed to be more hopeful, not scheming.... X(

mmmk... well, there is no cere/nose hole, unless this species of gryph only breath through their mouth lol, it has no lore (the place in between the cere and the eye) where there is almost whiskers.. and there is no waxy part around the eye either hope it helps!!

Thank you!! Concerning realism, I think it does help. However, I still think it's important to strike a balance between detail/art and and story plot (it's good to be aware of those small things, though).

On the cover page the griffins did have a cere, and I believe it was on Blaze from the 1st page as well. In chapter 2 when Blaze just hatches, I did add nostrils and a cere, from references. Aside from that, a lot of time passed between the first page, which I originally intended to be a possible teaser but wasn't entirely sure about an actual story, and the next pages when I decided to follow through. When I did start on more pages, I forgot to include those details, and it stayed consistent all the way to where the comic is now.

Since they are both part bird and part mammal, I would imagine they would have some fur in more sensitive areas like the base of the beak or under the contour feathers covering the base of their forelegs for insulation, so the nostril in that case would be mostly concealed. If that were the case it would help counter a slight majority of bird I made in these griffins, like the feathers at the end of the tail, and no visible feline ears on the head. (Just speculating)

Sorry this is a bit long of a response. I do try to prioritize anatomy for my works and I do appreciate this!

I will keep it in mind when doing further pieces related to the comic outside the pages. Just curious, but have you read through the whole comic so far?

Okay, awesome! However you want to draw your gryphons, go ahead, I was leaning toward a response such as this! i like to do gryphons as realistic as possible ^^

I tried reading through the comic, but with my adhd I saw a squirrel and now I am off in dreamland LOL

I really like how you can get the colors to look good without going digital. That's something I've always had trouble with.
Keep up the good work!
