Very true. Ethad is one to typically do crazy things-- sometimes even stupid things. Like going after a griffiness who's already engaged to somegriff else.
But the griffin territory doesn't take up the whole country, it's just the clan's grounds. Humans still occupy much of that region and are allies with their kingdom's respective clan.

Not just females, but all griffins. I took a bit from traditional griffin mythology in that griffins were used to guard treasure. Hence why both clans each have an extensive treasury....

True, I also thought, now that you mention about guarding treasure, dragons are also treasure guardians. Ah, dragons and giffins are so similar.
